The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue presents a pulse pounding rock and roll burlesque show like no other on Saturday, January 14 with two showings at 8:00PM and 10:30PM at the 29th Street Ballroom at Spider House. Bring your power mullet and get ready to throw some devil horns as the Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue presents a knock down, drag out fun time! Featuring a rock and roll soundtrack from the annals of punk, classic, stadium, and freedom rock, these ladies show you how to turn the heat up to 11! The inspiration for this show came about when Coco Lectric and Ruby Joule were at the Montreal Burlesque Festival earlier this year. Sitting around the kitchen table after the show with Scarlett James and her husband while he played rock and roll DJ for the ladies, the idea was born. “We want this show to feel like going to the best rock concert ever,” said Joule, “where each new act makes you want to get out of your seat and make some noise!” This show features Jigglewatts’ Ruby Joule, Coco Lectric, Goldie Candela, Ruby Lamb, Pearl Lux and the return of Jolie Ampere Goodnight, along with special guest MC Lady Bangs. The Jigglewatts Burlesque produced their first show in June of 2006. Now going stronger than ever in their sixth year, this exclusive boutique troupe features classically trained dancers, vocalists and actors whose brand of burlesque is upbeat, cheeky, clever, elegant and sexy all at the same time, inviting audiences of both men and women to join in the fun. With twelve titles collectively, including Performer of the Year (2010, 2011) Hot Rods & Heels "Troupe of the Year" (2010, 2011), Texas Burlesque Fest "Audience Choice Award" (2009, 2010, 2011) and "Best Costume" (2011), and "Queen of Burlesque" (2010), this small but resplendent troupe is the most highly acclaimed in Texas.
