Joseph’s professional background in marketing may inform his work but the mystery of his art is in the compositions. Through the condensation of luscious words these images float like thought bubbles in a graphic novel. Clear, creative choices have been made to deliver playful punches of language. Attentive, intentional editing makes a direct impact. Joseph’s process allows me to swim in my own thoughts (and words) about language. The failures of language as communication are dissipated by the visual impact of his work. Through his careful bonsai treatment our co-dependant relationship with words is truly illuminated.
