Hellboy I & II
November 19th, 8pm
The feverish Hellboy II: The Golden Army is a very busy sequel
that might have looked unhinged in the hands of a less visionary
director than Guillermo del Toro. Ron Perlman returns as Hellboy, aka
"Red," the Dark Horse Comics demon-hero with roots in the mythical
world but personal ties in the human realm. Still working, as he was in
Hellboy, for a secret department of the federal government that
deals (as in "Men In Black") with forces of the fantastic, Red and his
colleagues take on a royal elf (Luke Goss) determined to smash a
longtime truce between mankind and the forces of magic. Meanwhile,
Red's relationship with girlfriend Liz (Selma Blair), who can burst
into flames at will, is going through a rocky stage observed by Red's
fishy friend Abe (Doug Jones), himself struck by love in this film. - Amazon Review.

Hancock and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air
December 3rd, 8pm
Academy Award® nominee Will Smith (Best Actor, The Pursuit of Happyness,
2006) stars in this action-packed comedy as Hancock, a sarcastic,
hard-living and misunderstood superhero who has fallen out of favor
with the public. When Hancock grudgingly agrees to an extreme makeover
from idealistic publicist Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman, Juno), his
life and reputation rise from the ashes and all seems right
again--until he meets a woman (2003 Academy Award® winner Charlize
Theron, Best Actress, Monster) with similar powers to his and the key to his secret past.

The Dark Knight
December 10th, 8pm
The follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director
Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of
Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt.
Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to
destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves
effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal
mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and
forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and
vigilante. Heath Ledger stars as archvillain The Joker, and Aaron
Eckhart plays Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Rachel Dawes.
Returning from Batman Begins are Gary Oldman as Gordon, Michael Caine
as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

Gremlins, Bad Santa & The Nightmare Before Christmas
December 17th, 8pm
A man buys a Mogwai as a Christmas present for his son. The young
boy is told to keep the pet away from water, out of the light and never
to feed it after midnight. Inadvertently, the creature is dampened and
almost instantly, produces half a dozen furry replicas of itself
--which continue to multiply and turn the small town upside-down.
Drink Special: $5 Irish Coffees
